I have been given the opportunity to review "The Grace Card" and am excited that an extra DVD has been set aside to give away. At the end, leave a comment and your name will go into the list of possible recipients. Read on for details.
“It’s not justice we need,
but grace and forgiveness,” says Sgt. Sam Wright. This is a tough lesson to
learn, especially for Mac McDonald who lost his son in a tragic accident. His
anger alienates everyone around him. Prejudice escalates because of his pain.
We’ve all been hurt.
Someone at one time or another has taken from us something we hold dear, whether
it’s of great monetary value or holds sentimental worth. We have the choice to
seek justice, hold onto anger and resentment, demand repayment, or forgive and
love the offender. It is far easier to maintain anger than it is to forgive.
Anger is the fuel that keeps many going. But it’s forgiveness that releases us
to live freely and love fully.
The Grace Card unfolds before us showing the struggle of one man to
love his adversary even when he is rejected, while also giving glimpses into
the anguish of another man who has chosen to cling to hate and anger. In the
end, both men must make a choice to either curse God and die or quit fighting
Him.
This not only cuts
through the anger and forgiveness clay, but crosses the racial divide,
declaring that although we bear differing skin tones, on the inside, we’re
basically the same. True love sees no race, social status, or denomination as
greater than another; but embraces all people of God as His magnificent
creation.
Whether you’ve had the
chance to see The Grace Card in the theaters
or not, bringing the film into your home and church is recommended; however, be
sure to stock up on the tissue. Family wholeness, loving our neighbors,
forgiveness, and dependence on God for all things are the messages that will pull
at your heart’s core with such intensity that stoicism will be difficult to
maintain.
Leave a comment, sharing moments of God's grace in your life and be entered for a free copy of The Grace Card. Winner will be chosen on Friday, August 26.

ReplyDeleteGrace Card sounds great - thanks for giving us a peek!
ReplyDelete"sharing moments of God's grace in your life." Wow, can I write a book here?
ReplyDeleteThe greatest moments of God's grace in my life have come during ongoing family crisis. My dad's health, my brother's divorce, my grandmother living with us for seven months (sadly, the worst, but God's greatest moments of glory!)
I've had anger, bitterness, the thoughts of "why me?" Yes, we all need His grace. He is ever faithful!
Thanks for sharing about this movie, I've been looking forward to seeing it!
